Celebrate Día de los Muertos at Leo Carrillo Ranch

Join us for a vibrant weekend honoring Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a cherished Mexican tradition that celebrates the lives of loved ones who have passed. The historic adobe hacienda will be adorned with colorful decorations and a traditional ofrenda dedicated to the Carrillo family.

Experience the beauty of remembrance through music, art and community.

Saturday and Sunday

Join us at the Hacienda for an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, and Sunday, Nov. 2. Both days will feature:

  • The historic adobe ranch house decorated for the holiday.
  • Arts and crafts.
  • A community ofrenda.
  • Photo ops.

Saturday-Only Special Activities

We’re excited to offer additional activities on Saturday, including a family-friendly concert by Jarabe Mexicano:

  • 10 a.m.-3 p.m. — Taco truck (Gaby’s Tacos), food and drink available for purchase.
  • 10 a.m.-1 p.m. — Face painting.
  • 1 p.m. — Ballet Folklorico de Tapatio de San Dieguito.
  • 1:30 p.m. — Jarabe Mexicano concert.

Events may be modified or canceled due to inclement weather.
