The City of Carlsbad is announcing “Stay True” by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Hua Hsu as the 2026 Carlsbad Reads Together adult selection.
Carlsbad Reads Together is an annual citywide reading program that connects the community through shared stories and conversations. Special programs and events begin in April, but members of the community are encouraged to start reading now.
Set in Northern California in the 1990s, “Stay True” is a coming-of-age memoir that explores themes of friendship, self-expression, belonging and loss. Library patrons helped select the book.
Readers may reserve a copy through Carlsbad City Library in print, eBook or eAudiobook formats.
