Carlsbad Police arrest unauthorized individual for trespassing at La Costa Canyon High School

On March 4, 2026, an unauthorized individual entered the La Costa Canyon High School campus without permission. The Carlsbad Police Department School Resource Officer assigned to the campus immediately contacted the individual. The individual, who was determined to be a social media influencer, was safely detained and arrested for trespassing.

The safety and security of our students, staff, and school communities is our highest priority. Unauthorized access to school campuses is taken very seriously, and our officers are committed to addressing these situations promptly and safely. Our School Resource Officer acted immediately to ensure the situation was resolved without disruption to the campus.

While still under investigation, preliminary information appears to indicate that student(s) allowed the adult on campus.

We appreciate the prompt reporting by school staff and the strong partnership we have with the San Dieguito Union High School District. The Police Department would like to remind everyone if you see anything suspicious on or around campus, please notify school staff or Carlsbad Police immediately. We will continue working closely with our school partners to help maintain a safe environment for all students and staff.
