The Carlsbad Fire Department has released its 2025 Annual Report, now available as an interactive Story Map on the department’s website.

The report provides a comprehensive look at the department’s work over the past year, including emergency response, community outreach, public safety campaigns and ongoing efforts to enhance preparedness and resilience.

Presented in a digital Story Map format, the report combines visuals, data and narrative to offer an engaging and accessible experience for community members.

“This year, we took a new approach to our annual report by using a Story Map to better tell our story and give our community a more dynamic view of how we serve,” said Fire Chief Mike Calderwood. “It reflects how we honor the trust placed in us every day—through response, prevention and the people behind the work.”

The 2025 Annual Report highlights the department’s continued focus on prevention, response and community engagement, while reinforcing its mission of serving with kindness.

Community members are encouraged to explore the report to learn more about how the Carlsbad Fire Department serves the community each day.
