As part of the city’s commitment to enriching local arts and education, the City of Carlsbad’s Arts Commission awarded $128,840 in Community Arts Grants at its meeting on June 4, 2026.
The Community Arts Grants program supports projects and activities that provide quality arts and cultural programing within Carlsbad. As part of a competitive application and review process, a panel of regional arts representatives, nonprofit leaders, education specialists, city staff and community members reviewed all eligible submissions. This year, the city received 39 eligible applications, the largest number ever received for the program.
A total of 35 arts and educational organizations will receive funding for a variety of efforts, including theatrical and musical performances, school arts programs, free community workshops, film screenings, dance showcases and cultural festivals.
