Since the city’s new e-bike laws took effect on May 26, the Police Department has continued to focus on education while issuing warnings or citations, or impounding e-bikes and e-motorcycles when appropriate. Here’s a look at the numbers from the first six weeks of full enforcement, through July 6:
- 93 education focused stops
- 53 written warnings
- 20 citations
- 40 e-bikes and e-motorcycles impounded
- 12 community reports submitted in the online portal, which opened June 17
