The City of Carlsbad is bringing back its popular biennial exhibition to the Cannon Art Gallery in fall 2026 and inviting emerging and established local artists to be a part of it.

This year’s exhibition, titled “everywhere home,” invites visual artists to explore the many facets of what it is to feel at home, a deeply personal experience that varies for everyone.  Several different types of visual arts could be featured, including painting, sculpture, photography, fiber art and more.

If you know a local artist who may be interested, encourage them to apply. There is no application fee, and both new and established artists are welcome. Applications will be accepted through Aug. 31.

The exhibition offers an opportunity for local artists to connect with Carlsbad residents, one more way the city is delivering on the City Council's 5-Year Strategic Plan goal of strengthening community character and connectedness.

More details about the opportunity are available on the city’s website.
