Council Meetings

The City Council generally meets three times a month on Tuesdays. Please see the Council calendar for the dates of upcoming meetings. You can also sign up to receive the City Council agenda via  e-notification or check the city website. Agendas are posted at least 72 hours in advance of each meeting.

How to make comments:

  • Signup online no later than one hour before the start of the meeting to make comments via phone during the meeting. See instructions on how to comment by phone.
  • If you wish to provide written comments as part of the record, e-mail your comments to clerk@carlsbadca.gov.  Please indicate the agenda item number in your e-mail subject line.  Emails received by 2 p.m. will be provided to the City Council prior to the start of the meeting.  Other comments will be included with the meeting record.  Emailed comments will not be read out loud during the meeting.

    Due to COVID-19 all City Council meeting are being held virtually at 3 p.m.

    Online

    City Council meetings are streamed live on the city website and can also be watched at a later date. Specific agenda items can be accessed by clicking on the topic to see that part of the meeting.

    On TV

    City Council meetings are aired live on the city's cable channel Spectrum (formerly Time Warner) 24 and AT&T U-Verse 99, and they replay throughout the week. Check the City TV schedule for times.
