The City of Carlsbad Cultural Arts Division serves to encourage, develop and facilitate an enriched environment of artistic, creative and cultural activity in Carlsbad and the North San Diego County region. As a component of many services and activities, the city manages funding programs to provide financial support to organizations, schools and individuals for various projects through a competitive application and review process.

Winnie the Pooh Pot o Honey 3
This November, North Coast Repertory Theatre brought the magic of the Hundred Acre Wood to the Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium at the Carlsbad City Library.

 

In partnership with seven local elementary schools, the theatre company - currently supported by a City of Carlsbad Community Arts Grant - delighted young audiences with a whimsical performance of Winnie the Pooh.

 

Winnie the Pooh Pot o Honey 2Looking ahead to Spring 2026, North Coast Rep will return to engage middle and high school students with a powerful performance of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, continuing their mission to make live theatre accessible and enriching for Carlsbad youth.
