The City of Carlsbad Cultural Arts Division is committed to fostering life-long learning in the arts by supporting arts education opportunities for residents of all ages. Through a variety of free and accessible programs, the city encourages creativity, cultural engagement and community connection.
School-Year Programs
- Three-Part Art: A long-standing, signature program managed by the Cultural Arts Division, Three-Part Art introduces students to visual art through gallery visits, hands-on workshops and classroom discussions.
- Leo Carrillo California History & Art Program: Offered in partnership with the Parks & Recreation Department, this program blends local history and art education in a unique setting at Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park.
Year-Round Community Engagement
- Pop Up Art: An Interactive Encounter
This free, family-friendly program offers hands-on art-making experiences inspired by exhibitions at the Cannon Art Gallery and Sculpture Garden. Pop Up Art appears throughout the year at community events, including the popular TGIF Concerts in the Parks during summer.
All programs are led by a team of passionate and professional Arts Instructors employed by the City of Carlsbad, ensuring high-quality, engaging experiences for participants of all ages.
