Pop Up Art is designed to ignite curiosity and spark dialogue around the value of the arts in everyday life, as envisioned in the City of Carlsbad’s Arts & Culture Master Plan. These temporary public art experiences—ranging from a few hours to several years—celebrate the creativity of local, regional and national artists through dynamic, accessible programming.

This evolving initiative includes three unique components:

• Pop Up Art: An Interactive Encounter
  Hands-on art-making experiences inspired by current exhibitions at the Cannon Art Gallery and Sculpture Garden, also featured at community events like TGIF Concerts in the Parks.
• Pop Up Art: Showcasing Local Talent
  A rotating display of visual art by local artists, featured at Carlsbad Libraries, highlighting the intersection of creativity and community.
• Pop Up Art: A New Experience
  In collaboration with the Carlsbad Village Association, this series brings unexpected and immersive art installations to public spaces throughout the Village.
