Monroe Street Pool closed for construction
After more than 40 years of service, the Monroe Street Pool closed in March 2025 for a major reconstruction project that will take about 18 months. The pool is expected to remain closed through summer 2026.
Upgrades include a larger pool with 50% more lanes, an expanded pool deck with lockers and outdoor showers, more shade, bleachers and parking, upgraded pool equipment and sustainability features. These improvements will bring the pool in line with current health, safety and building codes while ensuring it meets the needs of the community for many years to come.
