Dogs and Parks

Poinsettia Dog Park will be closed on Tuesday, April 14 due to wet and muddy conditions.

Poinsettia Dog Park will be closed for maintenance from Monday, May 4 through Sunday, May 17. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Dogs and Parks

The City of Carlsbad welcomes dogs at Ann D. L'Heureux Dog Park, Alga Norte Dog Park and Poinsettia Dog Park. Leashed dogs are also allowed on citywide trails. Dogs are not allowed in any other city park or on beaches within the city.

Plastic bag dispensers and receptacles for cleanup are available for your convenience at dog parks and along trails. Please be a good neighbor and clean up after your dog.

Maintenance Schedule

Poinsettia Dog Park undergoes regular maintenance for the comfort and safety of dogs and their owners. Other dog parks are maintained as needed. The dog park will be closed for scheduled maintenance as follows:
