The Carlsbad Police Department is excited to offer residents an inside look at how we serve and protect our community through our seven-week Citizens Police Academy. This program is designed to strengthen police-community partnerships and provide an in-depth understanding of our operations and initiatives.

Academy details
- Duration: Seven weeks, with one (1) three-hour evening class each week.
- Schedule: Classes are held Wednesdays, 6-9 p.m.
- Eligibility: Participants must be Carlsbad residents and at least 18 years of age.
- Class Size: Limited to 25 participants.
- Frequency: One academy is held each year.
