The exhibition features 60 works by 46 artists who live or work in San Diego County.
Nine Carlsbad artists were selected this year, which is the largest number to participate in a juried exhibition to date.
The exhibition was juried by Robert L. Pincus, a renowned art critic and writer, and Maria Mingalone, the Executive Director of the Oceanside Museum of Art.
“Over the past 20 years, the William D. Cannon Art Gallery’s Juried Exhibitions have become an important showcase for the work of both emerging and mid-career artists in San Diego County, said Karen McGuire, curator of exhibitions. “Since the first juried exhibition in 1999, more than 500 artists have appeared in the Gallery’s juried exhibitions.”
The William D. Cannon Art Gallery is operated by the City of Carlsbad’s Library & Cultural Arts Department. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.carlsbadca.gov/arts or call 760-602-2090.
