The City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts Office presents the 2020 Invitational, an exhibition featuring the work of five San Diego County artists. The biannualexhibit provides an opportunity to showcase a select few of the artists from the most recent Juried Biennial and present their work in greater depth. The exhibition opens Dec. 15, 2019 and continues through Feb. 8, 2020 at the William D. Cannon Art Gallery, located at 1775 Dove Lane. An opening reception will be held at the gallery on Dec. 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. For the outdoor reception, outerwear is encouraged. Admission to the exhibit and reception is free.
“From brilliant textured canvases and bright seascapes and landscapes, to delicate biomorphic shapes on paper, to engaging portraits and functional ceramic sculptures, this exhibition is a unique combination of the work of these five talented San Diego County artists,” commented Karen McGuire, curator of exhibitions.

William D. Cannon Art Gallery is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 5 p.m.
