Grand Avenue street improvements
The City of Carlsbad is considering ways to improve parking and traffic safety along Grand Avenue by converting existing parallel parking to diagonal parking and installing a new all-way stop at the intersection of Grand Avenue at Madison Street.

State & Laguna stop signs
New stop signs were installed at the intersection of State Street at Laguna Drive last week to help address community concerns about safety at the intersection. The City Council approved the new stop signs in January, and crews got to work to complete the improvements quickly.

Construction to start on beach stairs and sidewalk

Veterans Park plans approved
On Tuesday, the Carlsbad City Council adopted construction plans and specifications for Veterans Memorial Park and authorized the City Clerk to put the project out to bid.

Construction near Carlsbad Blvd postponed
Postponed: The City of Carlsbad has multiple projects in the works to make it easier to access the beach, including a future project to build new ADA-compliant access ramps. As part of this effort, crews will be in the grassy area along Carlsbad Boulevard, near Pine Avenue and Tamarack Avenue.
