City services

City services continue to be available online.
City buildings and community centers are currently closed temporarily to in person services.


Beaches, parks, trails and the golf course are open, with modifications and the following hours: 

  • Beaches and trails: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
  • City parks are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Playgrounds and pools remain closed. Tennis courts, full court basketball courts and every other pickleball court are open for members of the same household
  • Dog parks and skate parks are open from 8 a.m to 8 p.m. 

School sites managed by the City of Carlsbad will remain closed. A complete list and details are available in the health order summary.



The list of businesses allowed to operate is being updated frequently.  Check the county health order for the latest information.

Events and programs

City programs and events are canceled until further notice. Many community programs are now available in alternative formats, like videos and social media. Find out more here.
