We are still accepting new permit applications and resubmittals. To support this, there is a drop-off and pickup location set up just outside the Faraday Center at 1635 Faraday Ave.
Drop off/ Pickups
To submit your project or pick up plan check comments, you can drop off completed permit applications and plans in the bin marked “Engineering Submittals” located outside the Faraday Center. Staff will contact you on payment process, review comments or permit decisions. Plan check comments and permit sets are picked up in the bin marked “Engineering Pick ups”.
(Limited) Electronic Submittals
Engineering allows certain paperless submittals via email. These are limited to:
1) right of way (construction) that do not require improvement plans,
2) haul route and
3) water meter permits.

Standard Plan Checks
All other applications requiring plan checks require hard copies of applications/plans/reports per the minimum submittal checklists.

Land Development Engineering
Land Development Engineering is responsible for reviewing and approving lot line adjustments, grading plans, improvement plans, subdivision maps, implementing regional storm water regulations, issuing grading, right-of-way, and haul route permits, and administration of the floodplain. This division is also responsible for the review of transportation demand management on development projects to ensure compliance with the city's TDM ordinance.
