Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Face coverings are required. The visitor center (exhibits and video), and select historic building interiors are now open for self-guided tours depending on staff and docent availability. Please call 760-476-1042 in advance of your visit to check and confirm availability.
During the COVID-19 stay at home order, at the Ranch you are permitted to:
Walk, bike or jog around the Ranch on designated pathways. The back gate to the Rancho Carrillo trail is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so you may extend your tour of the area. Out of respect for the peafowl and other native animals that call the Ranch home, please, no dogs in the park.
Sit, lie down, or picnic if you practice social distancing.
Take a self-guided walking tour of the grounds and exterior of the historic buildings. Brochures in English and Spanish are available online or at the parking lot kiosk.
Take a self-guided botanical tour. Follow the tour and discover some of Carrillo's favorite plantings. Brochures in English and Spanish are available online or at the Ranch.
We encourage you to walk or bike from home; however, limited (50%) onsite parking is available
