This trail takes visitors through several popular points of interest. It's also a great way to view the city golf course, The Crossings at Carlsbad.

Veterans Memorial Park

The City of Carlsbad is ready to develop a master plan for its next community park, and we need your input. Veterans Memorial Park is located on 91.5 acres, near the intersection of Faraday Avenue and Cannon Road. The first step in the master planning process is to get input on the community’s values, needs and priorities for the park.

The Flower Fields

The Flower Fields is the only commercial ranunculus field in the world that is open to the public. This wonderful annual display of horticultural beauty opens in March, welcoming visitors into a sea of cloral color and aromatic delights. Visitors can view the 50-plus acres of breathtaking Giant Tecolote Ranunculus, abundant roses in the All American Rose Garden, the world famous Ecke poinsettias and tour the entire ranch on an exciting tractor ride that is fun for the whole family. Shop and dine at the nearby Carlsbad Premium Outlets.

LEGOLAND California

This world-renowned theme park is based on the popular building block toys created in Denmark in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen, a former carpenter from Billund, Denmark. The park has more than 50 rides, shows and attractions specifically geared for families with children ages 2-12. In 2008, the new SEALIFE Aquarium opened to the public.

Agua Hedionda Lagoon & Discovery Center

This area, also known as Macario Canyon, was home to the Luiseno Indian tribe. All are encouraged to learn about the rich cultural history of this Native American tribe and the importance of the lagoon ecosystem, through the many wonderful displays and interpretive, educational programs offered at the lagoon's Discovery Center.
