Age-Friendly Carlsbad is a project through the American Association of Retired Persons’ Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities. With support from the San Diego Foundation Age-Friendly Communities Program, the goal of Age-Friendly Carlsbad is to develop the city's first Age-Friendly Action Plan. The action plan will use community participation and feedback to create goals for the implementation of policies and programs that enhance the quality of life in the community for people of all ages and abilities.

Public input about the livability conditions of Carlsbad is crucial to the development of the Age -Friendly Carlsbad plan. If you are 45 years old or older, and live in the City of Carlsbad, we invite you to participate in a survey to let us know what is important to you in each of these eight domains of livability and what you need as you age.
